After our tour of the ranch, the group got back in caravan formation and headed up the Poudre Canyon to Estes Park, Colorado (I told you we packed a lot into one day!). First stop was The Baldpate Inn which is across the street from Lake Lily. The Baldpate is most known for its infamous Key Room which should be a stop on everyone’s trip to Estes Park. Although they do offer a space for an intimate wedding ceremony, the Baldpate is an ideal location for a rehearsal dinner or reception and can seat up to 100 guests. As it’s name suggests, the Inn can also sleep 28 guests in its 12 guest rooms.

If you’re just visiting Estes Park for a getaway, The Baldpate Inn is well-known for its lunch buffet and delicious pies. Be sure to make a reservation as space fills up quickly (even on weekdays!).
Our next stop in Estes Park was The View Restaurant at The Historic Crags Lodge. I think in a former life I was some sort of historian or anthropologist because I am fascinated by old photos and stories so, of course, this venue was right up my alley. The Crags Lodge, the main building of the Golden Eagle Resort, first opened its doors on the fourth of July 1914, making it the third oldest lodge in Estes Park. The restaurant and hotel lobby are filled with historic photos of the grounds, the staff, and it’s owners which will give your wedding the extra bit of rustic and vintage charm it needs. The View has a ceremony site (under construction in my photos) that can fit up to 200 people, but the real draw is literally “the view” from the dining hall. Easily one of the best in Estes Park. What I especially loved was that the size of the restaurant has enough space so that everyone can be in one area instead of sectioned off spaces.

They certainly saved the best for last on the wonderful tour of Northern Colorado wedding venues – Della Terra Mountain Chateau. I really don’t know where to start when describing this place because it is ah-mazing. Its no suprise that this venue has over 260 weddings booked this year (they literally have weddings every single day during the summer) because they have thought of almost everything that would make your experience there the best it could be. From a theater room for the grooms and his guys to get ready in to a salon and spa to pamper the ladies, there are so many amenities here it is insane. Of course, those amenities also come with a hefty price tag so make sure its within your budget before you schedule a tour because its unlikely that many other venues will compare once you’ve been here.

And what would a trip to Estes Park be if there wasn’t some wildlife spotting? This little guy is on his way home to his condo after a long day of work.
And that concludes my recap of the Fact Caravan Venue Tour of Northern Colorado. Like I said, my pictures really do not do most of the places justice so I would suggest setting up a tour and seeing it for yourself. Every one of our hosts was extremely welcoming and seemed like they would bend over backwards to make your day special. Happy Planning!!
